05/29/23 Macedon, NY to Medina, NY. Trip distance 65.03 miles. Total miles 294.82

We knew we had a long day so up at 4 AM and on the road around 5 AM. This was our longest ride so far but it was not bad. I think we are both getting used to being in the saddle. The good and the bad is it was mostly Erie canal trail the entire way and the scenery did not change much. Going through Rochester was green and beautiful however. We are at a bed and breakfast tonight in Medina, NY and our hosts are an older couple that could not be any nicer. We were greeted with bottles of water and homemade brownies. The home and grounds are beautiful and they have Llamas that are really cute. This is a good end to another long warm day. Heading to Niagra Falls tomorrow and it will be our shortest day, about 38 miles so that will be a nice break. Not too many photo opportunities but a few pics attached.

Finally………

After a long three-year wait we are finally making preparations for our Albany NY to Cleveland OH ride via the Erie Canal and Niagra Falls. Covid shut us down in 2020 and other factors since then have kept us from completing this journey. Bicycles have been torn down and shipped. We fly to Albany on May 24th and we’ll start our ride on May 25th. Stay tuned…
