September 22nd 2017 Day three-Redondo Beach, California to San Clemente, California. 75 miles.

Left Redondo Beach about 6 a.m. and Road Inland for a ways. Stopped in Torrance at a little donut shop and had a breakfast bagel sandwich. Had to travel Inland a bit to get around and back down to the beach area. Went through some pretty bad areas, lots of homeless encampments and such. Finally made our way back down to the beach area at Long beach and proceeded along the coast. Nice ride until we got to Newport Beach and had to turn Inland due to bike lane closures along the Pacific Coast Highway. We had to go about 11 or 12 miles out of our way with hills, traffic and stop lights. Felt like it took us forever to get back down to the beach area which we finally did around Dana point. Once we made it there the rest of the ride was better and we made it to our hotel around 5:30 p.m., it was a long day!! Our mileage ended up being 75 not 62 like we thought. Our friend Dr. Shannon Alexander who lives in Dana Point picked us up and took us out for a pizza dinner. Great ending to a very long day. Thank you Shannon. Tomorrow we finish our ride by making our way down to San Diego, 58 miles
